Terms Used:

slst – slip stitch

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

inc – increase

dec – decrease

To work, you will need:

● Yarn Pekhorka “Children’s novelty” (08

– light gray) – 2 hanks;

● Hook number 1.5;

● Eye-buttons or beads d = 10 mm;

● Filler.

● Needle for stitching and a large needle for

weight loss.

When using these materials

toy height = 32 cm.

A marker (or thread of contrasting color) is used

just to mark the beginning of the row and there will be a little

shift during the knitting process, it does not need to be aligned.

Hands (2 parts)

Stuff in the process of knitting, but not tight to

a flat bottom formed. For the same purpose

You can insert insoles made of thick material. Top

do not stuff part at all.

6 sc into magic ring

1 p. 6 inc = 12 sc

2 p. (1 sc, inc) * 6 times = 18 sc

3 p. (2 sc, inc) * 6 times = 24 sc

4 p. (3 sc, inc) * 6 times = 30 sc

5 p. behind the back wall 30 sc

6-7 p. 30 sc

32-35 p. 14 sc

36 p. (dec, 5 sc) * 2 times

Fasten and cut the thread, fold the part in half.

We return to the front walls of the 4th row. Attach

and we tie the string with a “crustacean step”.

TAIL

With a thread of 3 addition, knit 9 ch, make a knot on

tip. I tie the tail into the torso in the process

work, but then you can sew it on to a finished toy,

having also made the belly button navel.

LEGS (2 parts)

Stuff tight enough during knitting

the toy could stand on its own, but without stretching

at the same time the canvas.

1 p. 6 inc = 12 sc

2 p. (1 sc, inc) * 6 times = 18 sc

3 p. (2 sc, inc) * 6 times = 24 sc

4 p. (3 sc, inc) * 6 times = 30 sc

5 p. (4 sc, inc) * 6 times = 36 sc

Cut insole from dense material to size

the resulting mug sole.

6 p. 36 sc for the rear walls

7-8 p. 36 sc

Insert insole

9 p. (dec, 7 sc) * 4 times = 32 sc

23-24 p. 30 sc

25 p. (4 sc, inc) * 6 times = 36 sc

26-27 p. 36 sc

28 p. (5 sc, inc) * 6 times = 42 sc

29-30 p. 42 sc

31 p. (6 sc, inc) * 6 times = 48 sc

32-33 p. 48 sc

34 p. (7 sc, inc) * 6 times = 54 sc

35 p. 54 sc

Fasten and cut the thread. Back to the front

the walls of the 5th row. Attach the thread and tie

“Crustacean step.”

Do not cut the thread on the second leg – continue to knit

body.

BODY

We put our legs together and connect between

by knitting 12 sc. We put a marker to mark

beginning of the row and continue to knit

1 p. one leg 42 sc + the other leg 42 sc = 84 sc

2-5 p. 84 sc

6 p. (12 sc, dec) * 6 times = 78 sc

7 p. 78 sc

8 p. (11 sc, dec) * 6 times = 72 sc

9 p. 72 sc. In this row, insert the tail exactly above

the junction of the legs.

10 p. (10 sc, dec) * 6 times = 66 sc

11 p. 66 sc

12 p. (9 sc, dec) * 6 times = 60 sc

13 p. (8 sc, dec) * 6 times = 54 sc

14-17 p. 54 sc

18 p. (7 sc, dec) * 6 times = 48 sc

19-22 p. 48 sc

23 p. (6 sc, dec) * 6 times = 42 sc

24-27 p. 42 sc

28 p. (5 sc, dec) * 6 times = 36 sc

29-30 p. 36 sc

31 p. 36 sc. In this row we knit folded

in half hands. Although they can be sewn to the finished

a toy.

32-33 p. 36 sc

Fasten and cut the thread, leaving a long end for

stitching.

TRUNK

Stuff in the process of knitting – the tip is denser,

the base is quite a bit.

1 p. 6 inc = 12 sc

2 p. (1 sc, inc) * 6 times = 18 sc

3 p. 18 sc behind the rear hinges

4-10 p. 18 sc

11 p. (8 sc, inc) * 2 times = 20 sc

12-14 p. 20 sc

15 p. (9 sc, inc) * 2 times = 22 sc

16-18 p. 22 sc

19 p. (10 sc, inc) * 2 times = 24 sc

20-22 p. 24 sc

23 p. (11 sc, inc) * 2 times = 26 sc

24 p. 26 sc

25 p. (12 sc, inc) * 2 times = 28 sc

26 p. 28 sc

27 p. (6 sc, inc) * 4 times = 32 sc

28 p. 32 sc

29 p. (7 sc, inc) * 4 times = 36 sc

30 p. 36 sc

We return to the front walls of the 2nd row. Attach

and we tie the string with a “crustacean step”.

HEAD

The head is knitted from the bottom up, gets tied up in the process

trunk, knitting ends on top of the head. Stuff in

the knitting process is not very tight.

1 p. 6 inc = 12 sc

2 p. (1 sc, inc) * 6 times = 18 sc

3 p. (2 sc, inc) * 6 times = 24 sc

4 p. (3 sc, inc) * 6 times = 30 sc

5 p. behind the rear walls (4 sc, inc) * 6 times = 36 sc

Thus, the 5th row turned out to be underlined

the front walls of the loops of the 4th row. It’s necessary

in order to designate a place for stitching the head with

body, because after tightening the lower part of the head

is deformed and the stitching site is difficult to find.

6 p. (5 sc, inc) * 6 times = 42 sc

7 p. (6 sc, inc) * 6 times = 48 sc

8 p. (7 sc, inc) * 6 times = 54 sc

9 p. (8 sc, inc) * 6 times = 60 sc

10 p. (9 sc, inc) * 6 times = 66 sc

11p (10 sc, inc) * 6 times = 72 sc

12-21r. 72 sc

22 p. In this row we attach the trunk for 12 sc,

knitting them together with sc heads (do not fold the trunk in half). = 72 sc

23 p. Knit in a large circle 84 sc

24-25 p. 84 sc

26 p. (11 sc, dec) * 6 times = 72 sc

27 p. 72 sc

28 p. (10 sc, dec) * 6 times = 66 sc

29 p. 66 sc

30 p. (9 sc, dec) * 6 times = 60 sc

31 p. 60 sc

32 p. (8 sc, dec) * 6 times = 54 sc

33 p. 54 sc

34 p. (7 sc, dec) * 6 times = 48 sc

35 p. (6 sc, dec) * 6 times = 42

36 p. (5 sc, dec) * 6 times = 36 sc

37 p. (4 sc, dec) * 6 times = 30 sc

38 p. (3 sc, dec) * 6 times = 24 sc

39 p. (2 sc, dec) * 6 times = 18 sc

40 p. (1 sc, dec) * 6 times = 12 sc

41 p. dec * 6 times

Pull the hole, fasten and hide the thread.

You can make a crest by attaching the threads around the hole

and tying them in a knot.

LIP

1 p. 6 inc = 12 sc

2 p. (1 sc, inc) * 6 times = 18 sc

3 p. (2 sc, inc) * 6 times = 24 sc

4-5 p. 24 sc

Fold the part in half and connect the edges with columns without

double crochet. Leave the thread for sewing.

The lip connected in such a way turned out to be very large,

I do not really like it. Better reduce it without knitting

either 3rd or 4th row.

HEAD REGISTRATION

Sew the lip under the trunk, stepping 3-4 rows from

strips of the front walls of loops of the 4th row of the head.

Now we make the sewing, while sewing on the eyes.

Pins mark the points for the hooks. I marked them on

photo of the finished Elephant, you have a muzzle so far

It looks different. Points 1 2 3 4 are located in the corners of the mouth in

the place for sewing on the lips.

Points 5 to 6 are at the location of the future.

eye at a distance of 6 rows from the point of attachment

trunk (28 row of the head), points 7 8 – symmetrically on

the opposite side of the face. Between nearby

points (1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8) a distance of 1 sc.

Insert the needle at point 1, output at point 5, string

eye on the working thread, insert the needle at point 6, output

at point 2, tighten and tie a knot, hide the ends.

Enter the needle at point 4, output at point 8, string

eye on the working thread, insert the needle at point 7, output

at point 3, tighten and tie a knot, hide the ends.

ASSEMBLY

Sew the head to the body, focusing on the strip of

the front walls of the loops of the 4th row. Insert the needle under

a column of the 5th row of the head, stretch the thread, then

insert the needle under the column of the 33rd row of the body, stretch

a thread. The strip remains inside. Thus

we connect in turn all 36 columns of the 5th row

heads and 36 columns of the 33rd row of the body. Fasten the thread,

trim and hide the end.

Ears

You can also connect napkins for another you like

scheme or with ordinary columns without a crochet. Edges i

tied with a “crustacean step”, folded in half and grabbed

single crochet (approximately 6-7 sc).

Try on the ears to the head, choose the one you like

position and sew.

To cover the seams, I knitted flowers and sewn in

place of attachment of the ears. There are many schemes on the Internet,

choose any suitable for the size of your seam.

It fit perfectly in size, didn’t decrease anything and didn’t

inc. Just did not close the ranks, did completely

swing, because neither through the head nor through the priest put it on

will not work.

The elephant is ready !!!
